Entry Level Construction Engineering
This position will work directly with Project Managers and Engineers to facilitate the construction of municipal infrastructure. Responsibilities may include resident engineering, construction administration, constructability review, shop drawing review, pay request review, project documentation, presentations of progress and conducting construction meetings.
Requirements
Apply engineering principles, methods and techniques to a wide variety of transportation-related activities
Assist in creating plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E)
Perform design computations and plan preparations to include preparing plan sheets for construction projects
Perform engineering-related calculations and drafting/design work
Use automated roadway design programs and computer-assisted design/engineering systems
OSP Engineer
The OSP Planning Engineer acts as an OSP subject matter expert in a Member facing capacity; provides expertise regarding design options; coordinates a design plan that meets Member expectations; and works in collaboration with multiple internal departments; such as the Project Manager, Design Team Lead, Field Collectors, OSP Engineers, OSP Construction Manager, and OSP Regional Director
Requirements
Strong OSP fiber design skills
Strong command of NESC and RUS codes
Working knowledge of telecom construction methods
Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications skills
